Where’s my paper? Our one-year anniversary.

March 9, 2009 at 10:22 pm (The Marriage Chronicles) (, , )

Today is day 367 of wedded bliss with Sajan. 367 days down, a lifetime to go.

Traditionally, gifts of paper are exchanged on the first-year anniversary. We opted for a weekend getaway in good ol’ San Antonio, Texas.

In one year, we’ve traveled to Oklahoma, Dallas, Arizona and parts of Houston for three engagement ceremonies and nine weddings. We bought a house and mowed the lawn. We planted fruit trees and flowers in the yard. Sajan painted the half bath bright red. We explored the world of cooking, which included bouts of a smoke-filled house. The burger committee commenced. What odd highlights, right?

Here are a few photos from our first-anniversary weekend.

Music in Texas has a million influences: Greek, Japanese, Chinese, German, Czech and so on...The instruments are displayed on either side of Sajan.

The 4-year-olds doing the Mutton Bustin’ are SO cute. They look terrified! I don’t think they know what they’re in for when they hop on that sheep…
