We Finally Did It

June 30, 2008 at 10:19 pm (A Tale of Two Homeowners) (, , , , )

Both sets of parents came over Saturday with their plant saplings in hand. We dug up the backyard. The house is now a home. Banana, guava, lemon, orange, mint, cilantro, curry leaves, tomato and hot peppers now adorn the backyard.

Here’s a photo of what it looks like now. Next step: Dig up more dirt to make a big L-shape with the banana plant as the anchor. Plant flowers. Add a border around the L-shape. Make it look pretty. Once the plants get settled they won’t look as droopy.

I pictured a bed like at ur rents….i guess this makes more sense since they’re gonna be huge trees one day.

We’re going to fill out the bed so it looks a bit more like my parents’ eventually…just getting those in the ground took some grunt work.
