Oatmeal makes my stomach feel so good, even hours later. Today, banana slices and walnuts swam between the little oats. Oatmeal lowers bad cholesterol and reduces your risk of heart disease. I eat the sugary, flavored instant kind, which isn’t as good for you but will do for me.

1 c. wheat flour
1 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. oil
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. apple sauce
1 c. nuts

Let soak, add last:
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. water

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
